The Presidency of the Committee of Ministers
The 46 member states take on the Presidency of the Committee of Ministers for a period of six months in turn (in English alphabetical order). The Presidency changes in May and November each year.
Chairing the Committee is one of the responsibilities of each Member State of the Council of Europe.
For the first time since its accession, the Principality of Monaco will assume the presidency of the Committee from mid-May to mid-November 2026, after the Republic of Moldova and before Montenegro.
